Largest roller skating relay: India sets world record (VIDEO)
In BELGAUM, India -- As many as 661 skaters from across the country created a new world record for the Largest roller skating relay (24 hours) by skating non-stop for 24 hours in Belgaum, Karanataka, India, during an event organized by Shivaganga Roller Skating Academy and Trinity College.

Skating champions Aniket Chindal, Nikhil Chindak, Sarvesh Amte, Kalyan Patil, Suhas Karekar and others celebrated the new record by waving the national tricolor, distributing sweets and bursting firecrackers. The Guinness World Records world record for the largest roller skating dance routine is 270 participants, achieved by Shivganga Roller Skating Club (India) in Belgaum, Karnataka, India, on 19 November 2015.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the fastest time to skate 1 km backwards; it is 2 min 8 sec, achieved by Prayatn Sharma (India), in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India, on 21 June 2015.
Shivaganga Roller Skating Academy and Trinity College organized the record attempt at the academy's skating rink at Om Nagar, The Times New Network reports.
Skaters from
Karnataka, Maharashatra,Goa, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and

Pradesh participated in the event.
