BRSF LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATE IN GENERIC ROLLER SKATE COACHING
Run over 2 days, a level 1 coach is an assistant coach, who can deliver many aspects of a session, whilst always under the direct supervision of a fully qualified level 2 coach.
LEVEL 1 Courses
Learning from some of our experts you will be given the chanbce to becvopme qualified in both the practical and theoretrical aspoects of coaching generic roller skating. The British Roller Sport Federation (BRSF) Level 1 course is the first step towards becoming a recognised roller skating coach. The course offers candidates the practical and theory to help candidates develop an understanding of planning, delivery and evaluation of ethical roller skating sessions.

BRSF LEVEL 2 AWARD IN GENERIC ROLLER SKATE COACHING
A level 2 coach education course provides coaches with the skills required to deliver the BRSF basic skills courses "Skate Smart" to novice and learner roller skaters.
LEVEL 2 Courses
These are also two day courses, which are aligned to Sports Coach UK (UK Coaching Certificate) Level 2 Qualifications Guidance, will cover all the elements required to deliver basic roller skating skills to newcomers, beginners and novice roller skaters, the course will also include those scUK / UKCC Level 2 modules which are common to other sports, delivering Coach Education Courses aligned to scUK / UKCC requirements.
The courses are suitable for: | ||
► | individuals looking to take a recognised roller skating foundation coach education course, to deliver basic roller skating skills to newcomers, beginners and novice quad and inline roller skaters, in environments such as Schools, Leisure & Sports Centres and roller skating clubs of all roller disciplines. | |
► | individuals looking to take a recognised roller skating foundation coach education course, upon which a roller discipline specific, level 2 'bolt on' module can be added. | |
► | individuals holding a BRSF (or equivalent scUK/ UKCC) Level 1 (Assistant Coach) award, seeking to upgrade to Level 2 | |
► | existing roller skating club coaches seeking to add a Level 2 course to their log of Continuing Professional Development. |
Attendance is required on both days of the course, the successful completion of a practical assessment during the course and the submission of a satisfactory post course assignment, are all requirements towards the successful completion of the course.
