So we're teaming up with Nu FOCUS Education and working hard to make strides to be able to offer accredited training and qualifications in similar areas so that we you will not only be able to continue doing what you love, but also establish a career in a related field. Foundation Learning
Our courses are typically foundation levels from entry to level 2.
Augmented Curriculum for Schools/Off Site Education/Referral agencies
We offer placements to 14-16 year olds that are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET. We accept referrals from schools and other agencies.
CARPENTRY AND JOINERY: Foundation Learning
We aim to support young people in finding further education opportunities or employment, offering nationally recognised qualifications up to level 2. While on the course students may receive cheaper travel around Luton and Dunstable, up to £1200 and free use of our workshop facilities.
If you enjoy working with your hands and are interested in the skilled trades industry. Chances are, you're perfect candidate for one of the available carpentry courses. Our training program can provide you with the creative and technical skills to work with wood in order to create aesthetically pleasing and functional structures, from window frames to kitchen cabinets and of course ramps. On the course you'll learn what's involved in fcreating and much more.
Training can also offer you the opportunity to specialize in a particular area of this rewarding field, including building maintenance, home renovations, cabinet making, new construction, furniture making, and more. Some programs may even allow you to gain valuable, real-life experience through a paid externship. You'll also learn the latest safety considerations and industry regulations.
If you're interested in becoming a carpenter, cabinetmaker, remodeler, building maintenance specialist, roofer, or construction worker, take the first step today by checking out the Nu FOCUS courses below and finding the right one for you. Although there are no legal education requirements, in order to obtain work in this field, a formal education, combined with an apprenticeship program is generally the quickest and most streamlined option.
This course is an introductory qualification in carpentry and joinery for people who are interested in woodwork in the construction industry and have a practical nature. The course will enable you to build up a broad range of skills and knowledge in a range of construction and building-related services, especially skills in carpentry and joinery. You will learn through a combination of both practical and theory work learning in our construction workshops and machine woodworking workshops. You will gain a Level 1 in Carpentry and Joinery which is an ideal foundation for an Apprenticeship in the industry and/or for progressing onto Level 2 courses in either site carpentry or bench joinery and onwards.
ROLLER SKATE COACHING: BRSF Level 2
We are delighted to be working in partnership with the British Roller Sports Federation (BRSF) and Sport Structures in the delivery of the Level 1 and 2 Rollerport qualification.
BRSF are the National Governing Body for roller sports disciplines. This includes, at present, roller speed, artistic skating, roller hockey, inline hockey, puck hockey, roller derby, and inline freestyle. For details and the course timetable click here for more information.
